Jessie Bird is a country-folk singer-songwriter from Camrose, Alberta whose music is rooted in honest storytelling, resilience, healing, and hope. Drawing inspiration from artists like Emmylou Harris, Caroline Spence, and Rose Cousins, Jessie writes deeply personal songs that find connection in the messy, tender, and beautiful parts of being human.

Music has long been a lifeline for Jessie, carrying her through heartbreak, addiction, and major life transitions. Her songwriting reflects a belief that even in life's hardest seasons, there are still pockets of beauty, grace, and hope to be found.

Jessie released her debut EP, The Way Love Goes, in August 2025. Produced by Kyle Mosiuk at New Sky Studio, the five-song project weaves together vulnerability, reflection, and strength. The EP reached #17 on CKUA Radio's Top 30 chart before its official release week and has received radio support across Canada and internationally, including airplay in the United States, Australia, Mexico, and Italy. Jessie's music has also been featured on CBC's Provincial Playlist.

In 2026, Jessie's songwriting reached a new milestone when she won the Alberta Dreams Song Search with "Hope Lives Here." The song was chosen as the official anthem for Alberta Dreams' 40th anniversary, supporting an organization dedicated to bringing hope and joy to children facing severe, life-threatening medical conditions. "Hope Lives Here" will be released everywhere on July 17, 2026.

Jessie was also a 2026 nominee for Roots Artist of the Year with Country Music Alberta, further recognizing her growing presence in Alberta's roots music community. Her live performance history includes festivals and showcases such as Beaumont Music Fest, Willows Music Festival, East Coulee Springfest, Symphony in the Clouds, and River Valley Sessions. She has opened for The Hello Darlins at New Moon Folk Club, The Hearts at the Bailey Theatre, and Carly Reirson at Edmonton's Westbury Theatre.

In 2024, Jessie participated in the Edmonton Folk Music Festival's School of Song, providing background vocals for participating artists and immersing herself in the collaborative spirit of Alberta's folk music community. In 2026, she advanced to the Final 4 of the YYC Songwriter Showdown in Calgary, further highlighting the growing recognition of her songwriting.
